DeathWORKS
-Championing Dying Well-
Kia ora, my name is Aingie, and I offer End of Life Planning, Death Doula, and Funeral Celebrant services in the lower North Island, New Zealand.
For most of us, feeling grief about your own life, or someone close to us can be one of the hardest times of our life, and naturally, you will experience grief in your own unique way.
I encourage and support family participation (by choice), because being able to care for our loved ones as they approach death, and following it, is a beautiful life-changing experience.
As a death companion, I’m here to help your journey towards death feel more manageable.
I’m a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and spiritual care. You are welcome to use my services at any stage or age. Without any obligation you are welcome to contact me to arrange a chat in person.

End of Life Planning
Advanced Care Planning * End of Life Services * After Death Care * Cultural / Spiritual Needs
* Eulogy / Life Narrative / Love Letters * Funeral / Ceremony Planning * Burial / Cremation
I’m passionate about creating a death-ready community and believe that everyone should have a plan for their life’s end.
You don’t have to have a terminal diagnosis to start thinking and preparing your end of life wishes.
At any age and stage, I can support you, or your family, by encouraging you to ask those hesitant questions and nurturing open conversations about death.
By discussing the uncomfortable, we can then lose any discomfort, and this provides wonderful opportunities for your family to have a better understanding and feel confident in what you want.
As a family, being able to honour these wishes, can be a last act of love.
Death Doula
I’m here to help you by offering an alternative palliative care – I’m a believer in death positivity, which is a family led process that fosters personal wishes and supports the act of dying back into the hands and hearts of individuals and families.
My approach is that of a holistic (non-medical) companion who walks alongside you and your family as we coordinate and care for a positive death. My focus is to support the wellbeing of you, your caregivers, and family as we map out a journey to empower your beliefs, culture, values, and dying wishes. I support family led, home based death care - to enrich and provide a pathway towards dying, whilst being surrounded in love, compassion, and dignity. My presence also provides your family with both guidance and relief, which enables them time to also focus on their own needs.
The word doula comes from ancient Greek, meaning a woman who serves.
Life Narrative ∙ Eulogy Writing
We’ve all got a story to tell, and as time goes by, it becomes important to document your life story for your family, future generations, or simply for yourself by recording your life narrative and particular events in time, moments, or turning points in your life.
Funeral Celebrant
A funeral service that is authentic to the spirit and personality of your loved one is most important. Working with you, I'm committed to crafting a personal ceremony that highlights achievements, attributes, values, and beliefs. What is suitable for the service depends on you or your loved one.
I create meaningful ceremonies that honour the significance of the life lived - unique, just as they were.

Aingie made the whole process so much easier for us and catered to everything we wanted.
From coming in and chatting with our family, suggestions on how she could help or what we could do, music and liaising with the funeral home.
A total blessing in our time of need!
Rachel
Aingie came to our Nana’s family home to get to know us and understand exactly what we wanted for her final send off meant the world to us.
